Music Teacher— The Steel Academy

The UDS Steel Academy is a free public, nonprofit 501(c)(3), community school focusing on students with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, gifted students or any student with learning differences by maximizing their educational experience through the integration of academics with the visual and performing arts.  The school offers fully accredited academic program serving students in grades 6-12. 

The UDS Steel Academy has a full-time position available teaching students in music in a charter school at the middle and high school level. This position supports, observes and records the progress of students assigned to a classroom; plans lessons in line with national objectives with the aim of ensuring a healthy culture of learning; keeps up to date with developments in designated subject area, new resources, methods and national objectives; and liaisons with other professionals, parents and guardians.

Requirements include Bachelor’s Degree and valid teaching license issued by the Ohio Department of Education with appropriate grade-level and subject area credentials; FBI/BCI; references and physical w/drug screen.
